Kim McCaslin

What did you want to be as a kid?

A talk show host.

When you’re not working…

Baseball, football, and English style horseback hunter jumper competitions. You guessed it, she has two children who are very active.

How did you get involved with The LOT?

As a developer, Kim pays close attention to trends in infrastructure and works with cities to  bring quality developments to their towns. She and Justin Gilmore share an ambitious vision for Mansfield so when she was asked to join the board it was a natural fit.

How does this project stand apart from her other ventures?

“The music business in general, I love it, but I don’t really know it.” Kim gravitates towards challenges, which carries an inherent risk, but she is confident in her ability to make each project exciting and valuable to the community.

Favorite all time live performance?

Bruno Mars! Even though she is an admitted country music lover, he won her over with his catchy songwriting and energetic show.

Something people would be surprised to learn about you?

Kim was a radio DJ while attending college at Stephen F. Austin.

Memorable moment while a part of The LOT

When her 11 year old son wanted to wear a LOT t-shirt to school, she quizzed him to make sure he could respond if someone asked him about it. He passed with flying colors and inspired her to continue working for something “iconic in Mansfield” especially for young people to enjoy.
