Jake Ward is an exciting 23 year old singer-songwriter from Corpus Christi, who has made an instant mark on the Texas music scene and is known for his high-energy live shows, blending classic country with contemporary rock and rich harmonies. Jake made his debut in 2014 with an appearance at Larry Joe Taylor’s festival, where he played his original song, “Hit the Road.” He and his band cut the song as a a demo and it made its way onto local radio stations. It eventually became one of the top 100 songs of 2014 on the Texas charts. The band’s second song, “Ignorant Bliss,” did even better, landing in the top 20 and remaining on the charts for over six months. A finalist for Best New Male Vocalist in the 2015 Texas Regional Radio Report awards, Jake and his band released their debut album, “Love Don’t Live Here,” in September, 2015 with ten original songs written by Jake. The album bears the band’s signature blend of Jake’s soulful voice with superlative rhythm and blues guitar, traditional country fiddle, tight West Coast harmonies, and the sheer joy of making music.
